Born and raised in St. Lucia, West Indies, she visited several of the other Eastern Caribbean islands and was always fascinated and artistically inspired by the captivating beauty of the Tropical islands. She spent much time drawing and painting the wonderful scenery.

Through a long, satisfying career as a Registered Nurse/ Midwife in England and USA, Art was an occasional hobby but Joyce looked forward to rekindling her passion after retirement, a dream come true at last.

Joyce’s remarkable life journey is totally reflected in her recent artwork. No longer constrained by circumstances, she is freely painting in this time of her life. Her artwork clearly represents the tropical and international influences of her history and background.
